After taking 9 rolls of film for 1 week of church came Joslyn’s freshman year in high school, a dream was born. Once she had her senior photos and received a camera on her 17th birthday it was clear photography was going to be a big part of her life.
2002 She graduated college with a degree in Graphic Design
2008 she started her part-time photography business known as JD Photography.
2015 she took a leap of faith and became a full-time photographer switching her business to Joslyn Crowl Photography
2016 she started mentoring fellow photographers as Joslyn Crowl Education
2016 created an online store with products she creates
2017 she opened her first studio
2017 became an international award-winning photographer and has gone on to receive six more bronze awards.
2020 she started an online business for beach lovers, The Sand Dollar Project
2022 she published her first book, The Seventeenth Chapter
2022 Started The Joslyn Crowl Podcast
2024 Closed her studio to shoot on location in Ohio & Florida
Alongside being a neurodivergent serial entrepreneur, Joslyn fought through stage 4 endometriosis, PCOS, sepsis, and dozens of surgeries and health issues. Through difficult times she has done her best to always find-a -way, and make a way to still go after her dreams.
Through failure and success, God has got her through to achieve more than she could dream. It’s not been easy, but it’s been worth it.

Spending time at the shooting range, and boxing
Kayaking, boating, and long walks
Being crafty with crocheting, painting, creating, and drawing, she’s pretty good at baking too.
You might see her at comedy shows and the movies!
She enjoys following politics
Lately, you can find her learning about sourdough bread and becoming an ingredients home.
She is also known for talking, a lot.

She also does Bridal Makeup and other cosmetologist services. If she isn’t glamming someone up she’s a busy mom and resistanting the urge to buy all the plants and enjoys painting and crafting. You can find her out camping with her family in her free time.
